There are many opportunities for PWYC members to enjoy boating activities. The following is a brief description of each; if you are interested, we encourage you to contact the committee chair for more information.
If you own a boat, our well-maintained facilities allow for the mooring of larger boats with continuous launch service, in season. There is also ample storage space for smaller boats in the dry dock area and floats specifically designed for smaller craft . Our dock has electricity and water available for member use. Ice and soda machines can be found in the main dock area.
The cruising committee plans events for both boat owners and members without boats. Early spring, the chairs meet with their committee members and plan the cruising season activities. These include day cruises, often with another yacht club as a dining destination, and in August, an annual club cruise.
Every Thursday and week-end days in season, there is racing on the bay. All members are invited to participate by racing their boats or lending a hand as a crew member. These events are exciting and a good way to learn or improve sailing ability. During the winter, some of our members participate in the "frostbite" series on the bay.
